Just finished watching Jericho's first season, aired during the summer on the Spanish Tele 5 channel. What an incredible drama show! It has all ingredients to keep you hooked: well balanced characters, good acting and scenery, lots of action and, of course, a good dose of suspense (OK, not as much as in Lost, but that's exaggerate). It is a pity it was cancelled and, after looking at their site, I don't really understand if there will be a second season or not; I hope there'll be.
And yeah... I think it's hard to avoid comparing this show with 24 (hmm, sixth season starting on Thursday here), specially when Hawkins is in action. Just watch it and you'll probably understand this point ;-)
Highly recommended.
There will be a second season but there is no date yet for it. Most likely Jericho will be back in Nov. or Jan.
ReplyDeleteGood to know; thanks :-)
ReplyDeleteJulio,
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine myself watching 24 in a regular tv channel. It's a must to watch it as straight as possible. Also,
just download the english version, you will go ahead of what they are playing in Spain. If I remember correctly, telecinco was specially painful for watching shows. They had tons of commercials. TV3 was much more better. Am I right?
drio: Yeah... but downloading the episodes is dangerous! I'd watch too much of them in a single day ;-) A TV channel provides some control (except when they start airing four chapters per day to end the show soon).
ReplyDeleteAs regards the channels, yes, Telecinco is really painful wrt ads. But given that 24 is aired at 0:00 I'm going to record it and watch it on the next day or so, being able to skip them. TV3 is usually better here, but lately not that much... Plus I certainly wouldn't want to listen to 24 in catalan!
