A couple of Ext2/Ext3 project proposals

I've just added a couple of project proposals related to improving Ext2/Ext3 file system support in the NetBSD Operating System. These are:
If you are interested in getting into file system development — a very interesting research area, believe me! ;-) — this is probably a safe bet. These two projects are not very complex but can quickly benefit NetBSD for different reasons (not only better Linux compatibility). Check out their descriptions for more details!

I would like to help in NetBSD, but I am afraid I need some kind of guidance. I have been a Linux user for years and I am studing telecommunication eng. (fourth year).

So that's what my knowlege is. Where should I start reading?

Ricardo: I'd suggest you to start by finding something that interests you in the projects page (linked in the post) and then doing the appropriate research to see how you could work on it. This may involve contacting the "group of contact" people/group for futher guideance.
